We offer high quality window training courses that will be suitable for anyone looking for a lasting and recognised qualification within the UK area.
We can train you on the making and renovation of both timber and plastic windows. There are many types of windows and so we have courses for each of them and they are listed below.

Wooden sash windows
We can provide training on all aspects of wooden sash windows and this is broken down neatly into two courses for your convenience.
Make new sash windows
We offer a quality range of joinery courses that’ll teach you how to put a sash and case together properly. We can teach you about a mortice and tenon, and how to dowel sashes for extra strength. We will also teach you how to correctly notch out a sill and build a box frame. We will then show you correct methods to prepare the box ready for priming and undercoating.
We can teach you how to overhaul and draught proof sash windows. We will show you what to do when a window is stuck, or rotten, or the sill requires replacement. We will show you specialist methods to determine when a window is repairable or requires replacement
We provide information on how to make and install plastic windows. Again this is broken into two neat categories, but this time there is no refurbishment option as they really cannot be repaired and you’ll learn how to replace hinges in both programmes anyway (which is the full extent of repair).
Making plastic windows
We show you how to join the frames and how to install gaskets and glass. We teach correct methods to ensure you can fully assemble a plastic window and that it meets all British standards before the window is sent for installation. It is wise to enrol in both plastic courses for a fuller understanding of plastic windows and really beneficial if you want to head into management.
Install plastic windows
Installing is more difficult than making when it comes to plastic. There are many on site variables to consider and we will go through as many of them, in a real on site environment as you need to feel confident to work in peoples homes. Once we are finished you’ll be ready to get a job in the plastic fitting world, or even start your own business.

UPVC Double Glazing
UPVC double glazing is very similar to plastic windows except that they might be windows that are installed on springs, much like wooden sash windows just made of plastic. This course is far more extensive than just plastic windows as there are a far wider range of windows covered. This is a far better certificate for plastic as it covers a much broader range of scenarios and windows.
If you’d like to get in touch with us about any of these courses and you’d like to speak about the possibility of a career in windows then we would love to hear form you.
