We offer courses for all types of door making and assembly.
Below you’ll see a full range of wooden, metal, and plastic options for door making. We can teach you how to make, repair, and even sell them. We will show you all the British standard requirements, and traditional as well as modern techniques of making doors. Below is a full list of our courses that you can benefit from:
WE offer courses on the making and repairing of doors. We will teach both in each individual course. Learn how to remove an original door and fit new. Learn how to repair a Victorian door. You can even learn how to install draught proofing systems to both old and new doors to make homeowners more comfortable.

Single Front Door
Wooden single front doors are now as much as 150 years old. They are warped and twisted and often in need of tender loving care. We offer you the chance to learn how to repair these old doors. Splicing new rails, removing as much of twists as possible. Fitting the doors back correctly. How to properly decorate them and how to make them better secured. We even show you how to make them more comfortable to live in.
If repair isn’t your thing then we also teach you correct joinery techniques to make new doors and frames. We will then show you how to fit them and leave a home secure from start to finish.
Double French Doors
French doors are more complicated than single doors. French doors often need more work as the meeting point on them is draughty and cold. They often sag and as a result need shooting in and refitting. We teach you what to look out for, the best diagnosis and then the best way to repair from the individual situation you find yourself in. There is no substitute for experience and therefore we bring in time served carpenters to teach you these techniques before you reach qualification.
We have two door UPVC courses. We teach how to make and how to install. This course is excellent to combine with the window UPVC course. If you carry out both courses you vastly improve your chances of obtaining management positions.
Sliding UPVC doors
We show you how to join extrusions so that they make a lasting joint and the bond will not break. We then show you how glass is fitted and how you make a frame. Once the components are made we will then show you how to fit a runner and then install the door into the frame which will result in a completed door that simply needs a lock fitted. We will teach you how to fit a lock and then run draught seals into the extrusion. Once you’ve mastered making we will take you on site and show you how to fit. The extended course will show you how to measure and what to look out for if you want to head into management.
Single UPVC Doors
Much in the same way as showing you how to make a sliding UPVC door we will do all of the above with the exception single doors are hung on hinges. We will provide the very same qualifications and guide lines to ensure your ready to earn money in the real world.
